Chicago Area Pumpkin Patch Guide 2012

It’s fall – time to pack up the kids and go pick some pumpkins! Below are pumpkin patches in the Chicago area. Admission prices do NOT include the cost of pumpkins. I’ve done my best to include current, accurate information, but it’s always a good idea to double check the website or call before you go.

Abbey Farms of Marmion Abbey, 850 Butterfield Road, Aurora, 630-897-7215, 630-936-0034

  • Open weekends only. Saturday 11:00 am-10:00 pm, Sunday 12:00 pm-6:00 pm
  • $9 person, children 2 & under free with adult admission. Includes: Tee-Pee Town Adventure Course, Wildwood Picnic Grove, the Classic Tractor Experience, Hayrides, the Family Game Zone and the Rad Pedal Race Track for kids. Wood fires on Saturday evenings.
  • Additional $5 for non-haunted, evening flashlight corn maze on Saturday evenings (after 7:00 pm).

All Season’s Orchard, 14510 IL Route 176, Woodstock, 815-338-5637

  • Open weekdays 10:00 am-5:00 pm, weekends 10:00 am-6:00 pm.
  • Admission $7/person on weekdays, $10/person weekends. Children under 2 free. Includes: Access to pumpkin patch with Wagon Ride, Giant Jumping Pillow, Cow Train, Pedal Karts, Obstacle course, Inflatable Slide, Moon Bounce, Art Wall, Corn Crib, Giant Tube Slide, Sand Box, Country Classroom, Observation Bee Hive, Petting Zoo, Golden Goat Bridge, Duck Race, Mini Zip Line Park, Tire Mountain, Spider Web, Farm House Swings, Hay Mountain, Scavenger Hunt. Also on weekends: Corn Maze, Pig Races (races held throughout the day; last races on Oct 21), Live musical performances held on select weekends, Magic Show (shows held throughout the day; last show day Oct 21).

  • Open 10:00 am-8:00 pm daily. Closed on Halloween.
  • Admission $10.99/child 3-10, $11.99/adult and child 11 or older. Save $1.00 each with online coupon. Children 2 & under free. Includes: Pig Races, Fun Barn, the Animated Spooky Haunted Barn, Feeding & Petting Zoo, the Super 90″ Mega Fun Slide, Hayrack ride, 3 Acre Giant Crazy Corn Maizey, the “Prairie Dogs” performing 10x daily at the Pig Races, animation throughout the farm, Children’s Playhouse Village, Jimmy Crack Corn Box, Playground, Vortex Tunnel with a Twist, and the Windmill with pumping stations.   • $10 admission for Animal Land; $8 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Children under 2 free.   • Open 9:00 am-6:00 pm daily, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on Halloween
  • $8 admission for attractions Monday-Friday, $10 Saturday-Sunday and holidays (2 & under free). Includes: Petting farm with 30 different animals, Giraffe Barn, Corn Stalk maze, Pumpkin eating Dino, Pig racing, Wagon Ride, 3D Haunted Mine, Munchkin Maze, Weekend Magic Show.
  • Pony rides and train ride available for an additional $5 each per person.
  • Open 9:00 am-5:30 pm daily.
  • Free admission and activities. Includes farm petting zoo, straw maze, and weekend rides to pumpkin patch.

    Ive been to a few of these places – All Seasons is my favorite when it isn’t crowded and the adults can jump on the pillow, too. There are a few not too far away that I’ve never been to that I may have to explore :)
