It’s officially August now and that’s about the time each summer that I start to panic. It’s all ending so soon! Have we done enough? There’s a little extra pressure this year because Cooper, my baby (yes, he’s my oldest, but still my baby of course), is starting kindergarten.
This is pretty much how summer goes for me:
- May – It’s not summer yet, but it’s warming up. I’m so excited about all the great things we’re going to do! We’ll be outside EVERY SINGLE SECOND!
- June – It’s warm and officially SUMMER! I’m appreciating it, but sometimes that means I’m sitting in the house most of the day and feeling thankful I don’t have to bundle kids up in coats when we run out to the store for groceries. There’s still PLENTY of time left so we don’t have to be outside every second.
- July – It’s summer, it’s hot, and we’re having fun. Fireworks shows, outings, etc. But no pressure. Still plenty of time.
- August – OH. EM. GEE. It’s AUGUST. Summer is practically GONE! What have I been doing all these months?? Must do ALL THE THINGS. RIGHT NOW.
I want to be sure the kids and John and I have had the BEST SUMMER EVER (just like I want every year). In an effort to make sure I’m not moping about a summer activity we never got around to during a January snowstorm, I made a bucket list this summer. I probably should have done it in May, but better late than never! Luckily, we’ve already done a lot of the things I wanted to do this summer.
Here’s my list.
