Now that Cooper’s in school all day Dexter and Campbell have lost their playmate. Both of them spent more time playing with Cooper than each other, so they’re starting to develop a better relationship now. Campbell’s too young for the things Dexter is usually playing with – LEGOs, playdough, etc – so I was exited to hear about the VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Airport Playset.
Designed for ages 1-5 the VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Airport Playset is an airport with interlocking tracks and a talking airplane. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $24.99. The airport has six SmartPoint spots; when the SmartPoint airplane is placed in or rolls over those points it responds with phrases, music, or sound effects. The airplane can also land on the cloud platform and “fly” when the control tower antenna turns.
The tracks of the Airport Playset can be configured to connect with other Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets (sold separately) and other VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels vehicles (sold separately) also interact with the SmartPoint spots.
Here’s some information from V-Tech about the Go! Go! Smart Wheels Airport Playset:
· Go! Go! Smart Wheels enhance one of the most popular play patterns while teaching important learning skills, boosting imaginative play through cause and effect, encouraging interactivity and providing an outlet for good old-fashioned role play.
· It’s playtime with miles of learning! The airplane also teaches letters and sounds, while the airport strengthens fine motor skills and builds children’s imaginations through pretend play.
From the minute the VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Airport Playset arrived Campbell was pretty excited. He kept playing with the airplane while it was still in the package and couldn’t wait to get his hands on it.
Dexter was really excited to help me put the tracks together and play with Campbell. Campbell’s still a bit young (he’s only 8 months and it’s recommended for ages 1-5) so he loved the airplane but instead of pushing it on the tracks he wanted to pull the tracks apart and put them in his mouth. Dexter liked playing with it and when Cooper got home from school he was excited to play with it too.
Dexter and Cooper still like putting the tracks together and pushing the airplane around the tracks to hit each of the different SmartPoints.
