The Polar Express Schedules Stop at Chicago Union Station

Chicago Union Station The Polar Express Train Ride 2015

Well this is pretty exciting! I just found out that The Polar Express is coming to Union Station in Chicago December 19, 2015 through January 3, 2016. The Polar Express is a VERY popular holiday event and often sells out pretty quickly after tickets go on sale in the August. The Polar Express at the Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin is completely sold out. This appears to be a late announcement and tickets are still available, although it’s likely they won’t last long.

The Polar Express Train Ride, modeled off of The Polar Express book and movie, will be a one-hour train ride through the city of Chicago. Riders are encouraged to attend in pajamas (although be sure to bundle up for the weather outside) and will experience a ride much like the children in the book and movie, with sounds from the movie soundtrack, the conductor punching each passenger’s golden ticket, and a treat of hot cocoa and a cookie. At the end of the ride, Santa will meet passengers with a special gift – a sleigh bell.

This looks like a really fun holiday experience, so book your tickets NOW before they’re gone.
