Battling the Bedtime Staller

Battling the Bedtime Staller - Netflix #StreamTeam [ad] #Dinotrux

There’s one word that strikes joy and fear into every parents heart: Bedtime. It’s a lovely time when you get to relax and unwind after a long day, watch tv shows and movies that aren’t appropriate for kids, and eat whatever you want without having to share. But to get to that, you often have to endure a seemingly endless onslaught of excuses, requests, and stall tactics from your kids.

This is what bedtime looks like in our house…

It can be a little crazy, especially because Dexter is a master bedtime staller.

Bedtime can be really stressful, but it’s also funny (especially look back on it!). Dexter loves to come up with excuses to stay up.

(As you can see, my friends are very supportive!)

Even Dexter thinks it’s rough:

Do you have a bedtime staller? I love the “stall styles” the Netflix #StreamTeam came up with:

We’ve experienced a bit of each of these!

Just getting the kids to their beds can be a challenge. “Can I just watch ONE more show?” is a common request around here. When I say no then they ask, “Just FIVE minutes?”

Netflix introduced the perfect solution for this – three brand new episodes of Dinotrux 5 Minute Favorites. You can say yes to their request, they can see a whole show from start to finish, and you can still get them to bed on time. Everybody wins!

No, it might not always make bedtime a breeze, but it’s nice to have a little something like this in your arsenal when bedtime rolls around.

Netflix is also offering some fun new movies and shows the whole family can enjoy.

Care Bears & Cousins is a flashback for parents and it’s fun to introduce your kids to characters you loved as a child. Home is one of our favorite movies, and I’m looking forward to watching the Spongebob Squarepants Movie because we haven’t seen it yet.

What staller style does your bedtime staller use? How do you make bedtime smooth and easy? I could always use some tips!
