We paid: We purchased a punch card for 6 open-play sessions for $30 from Groupon ($60 value). Dexter is still under 2 so he’s free, as am I, so each visit only costs us $5. The normal price would be $8-$10.
Our experience: We’ve been to Jump!Zone twice since purchasing our punch card from Groupon and we really enjoy it. It’s really, really loud because of the air for the inflatables, but once you get used to it it’s not that bad. We did visit with friends and one of the kids was really scared because of the noise, but she relaxed pretty quickly once the other kids started playing. The traditional jump house is available, but the kids seem to prefer the obstacle course and especially the big slides. Adults are allowed in the inflatables (175lb weight limit) which is great with small kids. Dexter loves the slides, but sometimes has a hard time climbing up the taller ones and is nervous going down the first time or two so I’m able to go up with him. Jump!Zone doesn’t allow parents to go down the slides with the kids (no kids on your lap), but just having me at the top seems to be helpful. Not to mention, it’s a lot of fun! I’m also able to climb into the obstacle courses on the larger inflatables if the kids get stuck or need help. The train station inflatable is designed for younger kids, but Dexter was a little afraid of it at first. Although part of it is uncovered, the first part of the obstacle course in it is enclosed and it’s a bit dark; Cooper had to help Dexter to go through it. Cooper loves all the inflatables and my only problem with him is keeping track of where he is. We’re happy to have 4 more punches left on our card so we can return again. I spend most of my time standing just outside the inflatable the boys are in or helping them through them, but it’s nice that they have so many amenities for the parents. If my kids were a little older I could definitely see getting some work done on the computer or reading a book while they wore themselves out.
***Don’t forget socks! They’re required and you should bring some for the kids and yourself.
Jump!Zone wanted to share a special prize with a Toddling Around Chicagoland reader so come back tomorrow for a fabulous Jump!Zone giveaway!
*** I received coupons for 4 free slices of pizza from Jump!Zone and a prize to give away to a reader. All opinions expressed here are my own.
How fun! Sadly, we live nowhere near Chicago, but maybe I can find something similar in Houston!
We would have no more diapers party for Trey! We are in the midst of potty training and would love to celebrate his accomplishments (and hopefully…) the fact that we will soon only have one little one in diapers! His sidekick (brother) could also be in on the celebration for encouraging him to go on the toilet.
