Our experience:
2Toots Train Whistle Grill has been on my “to do” list for quite a while and we finally had a chance to visit recently. We’ve been to a few train restaurants before, but the kids were still thrilled to see the trains.
All of the seats are on the tracks, which was really cool. We sat at the counter, but there are booths available and the trains run along the booth seats too. The boys loved watching the trains, which run almost constantly rather than just when they’re delivering food. John ordered a burger, I got a hot dog, and the boys got dino chicken nuggets. While they waited for their food, the boys took turns riding on the horse. They also loved that in addition to the trains were small hand carts with Disney characters on the tracks.
The food came pretty quickly (on the train, of course!) and it was great. The wait staff was very attentive; they checked on us several times to make sure things were okay and see if we needed anything else. They also stopped by to chat with the boys a few times.
After dinner we had to try some desserts, so John and Dexter each ordered the train whistle cupcake and Cooper and I got Rice Krispie treats (with train whistles).
We had a delicious meal and dessert, got some whistles, and it was a great experience.
Looking for something fun to do in the area after your visit to 2Toots? We went to a Schaumburg Boomers game just a few miles away!
We received a complimentary gift card to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
