Santa's Village Costume Contest and Trick-or-Treating 2014 - Toddling Around Chicagoland

Christmas & Halloween are my two favorite holidays, so it’s fun to combine them by doing some fun Halloween activities at Santa’s summer home. Especially when the weather is beautiful!

Santa’s Village AZoosment Park has a costume contest at 2:00 pm and trick-or-treating from 3:00 – 5:00 pm today (October 25, 2014) and tomorrow. Tomorrow at 3:30 pm there will also be “Thriller Dancers”.

This is the final weekend of the 2014 season, so it’s your last time to visit until spring. It’s also the Fall Flash Sale, so you can buy hot dogs for only $1 and funnel cakes are buy one, get one free (while supplies last). This is the perfect time to purchase your 2015 season pass too. You’ll get it for the current price, and it can be used this weekend for free admission and all the discounts and benefits that come with membership.

Check out some of the new features at the park, like the Mining Company, and new Deer & Wildlife Park. The Wildcat Roller Coaster is new this year, too, but is in need of repairs and won’t reopen again until next season. The Dragon Coaster is still open for the younger coaster fans, or the Viking Sea Dragon for those looking for a more thrilling ride.
