Summer is officially gone, but I don’t think anyone told my kids; they’re as energetic and, well… crazy as before and really need to get their wiggles out. I’m thankful we’ve had some nice weather and we got a Ziggle!
The Ziggle is a new ride-on toy from Radio Flyer, which moves when your child twists the front and wiggles the back. It has an adjustable seat and padded hand grips. The four caster wheels allow Ziggle is intended for children ages 3 to 8.
The Ziggle needed to be assembled, but it was a fairly easy job. John was able to get it assembled in 15 minutes or so, but it was really sturdy, just like you’d expect from Radio Flyer.
We love spending time outside and the kids are constantly asking me to ride bikes. At almost-4 and almost-6, Dexter and Cooper haven’t quite mastered riding bikes yet so they practice for a bit, but then get bored or frustrated and move on to other things. There weren’t any problems with the Ziggle. We didn’t tell the boys how to work it or what to do, just set the Ziggle on the ground and they knew what to do.
The kids don’t get bored with the Ziggle. They take turns zipping around and will play with it as long as I let them. They love it! I have to admit that John and I were a bit disappointed that the weight limit is 81 pounds because we both wanted to hop on and give it a try!
Dexter has a bit of trouble actually steering the Ziggle in a particular direction, but he’s already starting to get the hang of it. Neither of the boys are quite confident enough to get up the kind of speed you need to do a 360 degree spin yet. I’m sure they’ll be using it for a long time and get the hang of it eventually.
The Ziggle is available at Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, and on RadioFlyer.com, and it retails for $49.99.
