Oogieloves Webcast and Prize Pack Giveaway
Earlier this summer my family was invited to a special showing of The Oogieloves in The Big Balloon Adventure. While my husband and kids did some activities me and some other blogger moms got to meet the producer of the Oogieloves, Kenn Viselman, for a pre-show discussion about movies for children. The topic of our discussion: whether there are really any movies made for young children and how Oogieloves is different. Many kids movies, even ones with G ratings, involve things I don’t like my kids watching – things like death (sometimes of a parent), fighting, and “bad guys”. We were told during the discussion that The Oogieloves in The Big Balloon Adventure don’t include any of these themes and instead involve lots of color, friendship, and obstacles the characters must overcome that don’t involve “bad guys”. I can’t discuss the movie before it officially opens on August (OOgust!) 29th, but I’ll be posting a review of it when I can.
Opening day – Oogust 29
The Oogieloves in The Big Balloon Adventure open Oogust 29, but you can purchase them now! To find where Oogieloves is playing in your area visit Movietickets.com or to buy them online order them on Fandango. Aside from getting to take your kids to a movie where you don’t have to worry about adult themes, if Hollywood sees that this movie is tracking well — YOU will have more of a voice to get MORE G Rated films made! I even hear that on opening day, every child will get a fun wand that glows in the dark, which will help make the film more of a family musical event than a regular ‘ole movie!
