It’s almost Force Friday II weekend! New products inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released tomorrow, Friday, September 1 and to celebrate Disney Store locations in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco will have a midnight madness party.
Chicago’s Michigan Avenue Disney Store, located at 717 N. Michigan Avenue, will open at 12:01 am tonight with plenty of Star Wars fun, including:
- Sweepstakes for a chance to win exclusive Star Wars products
- Free Star Wars mini poster set for the first 100 guests who make a Disney Store purchase
- Ways of the Force activity
- Star Wars Story Time
- Art of Drawing: R2-D2
- Epic Star Wars theming that pays homage to both the dark and light side.

Disney and Lucasfilm announced a really cool global event to celebrate the launch of Star Wars: The Last Jedi products for Star Wars fans all around the world. Fans within a mile of 20 global landmarks simply open the Star Wars App, select Find the Force and point their phone to the sky to see a short augmented reality scene unfold. The 10-second animation shows a Star Destroyer loom over key landmarks as two TIE Fighters shoot past into the distance. Sadly, Chicago does NOT have one of the landmarks chosen.
