Summer vacation is officially over for my kids and even though we’re a little sad, it’s exciting to start a new school year. It means new school supplies, new teachers, new friends, and, of course, new clothes. There are lots of places we could shop, but I know that OshKosh B’Gosh has clothes my kids will love at a great price, and they’ll last!
We took a little shopping trip to our nearest OshKosh B’Gosh in Huntley. You can find the closest store to you using the OshKosh B’Gosh store locator. (And make sure you grab the great coupon at the bottom of this post!
We walked in the store and Cooper made a beeline for this display. The door hadn’t even closed behind us yet and he was begging me for this shirt. It was easy to say yes because it was 40% off!
The employees were really nice; one of them approached us and asked if there was anything specific we were looking for, or if we need help finding anything. While we shopped they were available and helpful, but not pushy. They seemed to anticipate our needs really well, including offering us a fitting room when we picked out a few pairs of jeans, and offering to hold the items we were buying so we could continue to shop.
This is a sight every mom loves to see – OshKosh B’Gosh Blue Jeans for babies and toddlers for only $8 and $10! Jeans for the big kids were a great value too – only $10 and $12. These jeans are sturdy so I don’t have any concerns about the boys being as active as they want to be. I love that they offer skinny, straight, and classic, and that there are a variety of denim colors. The boys have grown so fast recently so I was glad we tried the jeans on – both Cooper and Dexter got a larger size than we thought. I also LOVE that the jeans have an adjustable waist, even in the larger sizes.
The boys dragged me around the store showing me all the clothes they had to have. We had a compromise a bit (not quite as many t-shirts as they wanted, no track suits, and no sweatshirts this time around), but the Cooper, Dexter, and I didn’t have any problems finding a great stuff that we both liked at prices I was happy to pay.
Of course, I can’t leave Campbell out. He’s not starting school, but he wanted new clothes just like his big brothers. This is the part of the store where I needed to exercise some restraint because the baby and toddler stuff is completely adorable. I wanted to buy it all.
I especially love the OshKosh B’Gosh overalls – the two younger boys both have some at home already, and they continue to be one of Dexter’s favorites.
In the end, we got a full outfit for each of the boys, plus some extra shirts and accessories. Between Doorbusters, markdowns, the coupon I brought in, and finding some cute stuff on clearance, my total was under $130. Best of all, we were able to find things that really show off the kids’ individual style and personality.
As we were checking out, the woman at the register told me about the “B’Gosh Jenius Campaign”. OshKosh B’Gosh is helping make sure that all kids have necessities for school – everything from blue jeans to books. OshKosh B’Gosh is offering customers the opportunity to donate a new pair of jeans or make a cash donation to help out students in need this school year. They had jeans right there at the register and they could be purchased and donated. We purchased a pair of toddler jeans for about $8 to donate.
The “B’Gosh Jenius Campaign” started July 28 and continues through September 16, 2015. All denim donated will be delivered to local children in need through K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers. Monetary donations will be dispersed to local DonorsChoose.org. The Carters Charitable foundation will also match all cash donations up to $50,000 and all denim donations with a new item of clothing! If you want to learn more, visit the B’Gosh Jeanius page on the OshKosh website. You can give a kid a leg up by donating a pair of blue jeans or cash at the register!
Here’s a peek at what we got for each kid:
Campbell loves cars and trucks and couldn’t stop talking about his new truck shirt he picked out. We also got him some bright colors and a button-up shirt just like the big kids.
Dexter is a stylish kid. Sometimes he likes to be a little preppy, sometimes a little casual, but he always has his own flair. He also loves accessories. He picked out one colorful t-shirt and another one that glows in the dark. He was definitely on the lookout for accessories and found his cute belt and a bow tie to add to his very large bow tie collection. We found a sweater vest on clearance and he needed to have it.
Cooper’s wardrobe is pretty relaxed – he loved comfy jeans and t-shirts, but he loves to get a little attention. He picked out stuff with bright colors that he thought looked really “cool” and had to get a shirt that let everyone know he was awesome.
Here’s all my cute guys together in their new clothes:
