If you’re a regular visitor here, you may have noticed that I added a button to the blog recently. I’ve been chosen to be an KidGrade Ambassador for 2011-2012!
If you haven’t check out KidGrade yet you should; it was started by a family frustrated with the lack of information about family friendly places in and around Chicago. The founders, Angel and Segun, found themselves changing diapers in bathrooms with no changing tables and eating at restaurants that always had only pizza, chicken nuggets, and mac & cheese on the kids menu, so they decided to create KidGrade, where parents can share their ratings and experiences at restaurants, hotels, stores, museums, and activities throughout the Chicagoland area.
KidGrade allows you to search by name, neighborhood, or category. Each location has a rating (from 1-10) based on ratings in four categories: Price, Location, Parking, Kid Equipped. There are also comments about the experiences of the people rating it. It’s easy to register for KidGrade and once you do you can rate places you’ve been to. You can even add new places if they’re not already listed on KidGrade. Wouldn’t you love to let other parents know about how rude a waiter was about your child spilling a drink, or about how a hotel went out of their way to make your stay with kids easy?
I’m really excited to be a KidGrade ambassador because I think it’s a fantastic resource. I’m excited to work with them and share my input about the great and not-so-great places we visit and I hope you’ll do the same.
I received a gift bag from KidGrade and will be receiving other perks as a KidGrade Ambassador. All opinions expressed are my own.
