I recently had a chance to test out the new Green Giant™ Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip – Garden Ranch and Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip – Barbecue.
Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips won’t replace vegetables, but they’re tasty and a nice choice if I’m offering my kids a little treat. We brought some of the Green Giant Garden Ranch tortilla chips to a recent movie-in-the-park outing. The kids ate a healthy dinner so I was happy to treat them to something different and they loved the taste of the Garden Ranch chips and kept asking for more.
I really like ranch-flavored chips and I wasn’t sure if I’d like these as much as the ones I usually have, but they were delicious! I’d definitely choose Green Giant in the future. I also compared the nutritional information on my regular chips and the Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip. My regular chips are made mostly of corn products – corn, corn starch, maladextrin, corn syrup – and powdered vegetables – onion powder, tomato powder. Green Giant Garden Ranch has whole grain corn and red and green peppers.
The Multigrain Sweet Potato BBQ Chip was equally good. The kids gobbled them up and John said he liked them even better than the Garden Ranch Tortilla Chips. I love that they have whole grains; I feel like it’s a big improvement on what is generally in BBQ chips. I love BBQ flavored chips but they’re often greasy and flimsy, but the Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato BBQ chips are hearty and flavorful.
I’m looking forward to trying the Zesty Cheddar and the Sea Salt flavors. Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips will definitely be on my shopping list when I’m looking for a yummy treat!
