It’s cold and snowy. Kinda puts a damper on Halloween fun, especially if you were planning to trick-or-treat outside with little ones. Fear not! Here are places you can trick-or-treat indoors in Chicago and the suburbs. Events are free unless otherwise indicated. (This is a working list so please let me know if there’s any places I can add!)
- Halloween Ball at Pinstripes in Northbrook, South Barrington, and Oak Brook all day
- Golf Mill Shopping Center from 1-7 pm
- Westfield Hawthorne Mall from 2-5 pm
- River Oaks Center from 3-6 pm
- Louis Joliet Mall from 3-7 pm
- Chicago Ridge Mall from 3-7 pm
- Ford City Mall from 3-7 pm
Navy Pier from 4-7 pm- Bass Pro Shops in Bolingbrook, East Peoria, and Gurnee (activities and trick-or-treating) from 4-8 pm
- North Riverside Park Mall from 5-7 pm
- Charlestowne Mall from 5-7 pm
- Halloween Boonanza at the Community Rec Center in Schaumburg (party & trick-or-treating) 6-9 pm. ***Fee applies
- Halloween Happenings at Homewood-Flossmoor Sports Complex (party & trick-or-treating) from 6:30-8:30 pm
These events don’t offer trick-or-treating, but do offer indoor Halloween fun:
- Westmont Halloween Fun Fair from 4:30-7 pm
- Fall Fest at Living Springs Church in Glenview (party & outdoor trunk-or-treat) from 6-8 pm
- Darien Lions Club Halloween Party from 6:30-8:45 pm
- Brick-or-Treat at the Legoland Discovery Center from 10:00 am-7:00 pm (last admission at 5:00 pm) ***Admission fees apply
