These are Spring hours and will likely be different for other seasons.

Prices: A pony cone is available for just under $1. Baby cones are $2.80, single scoop regular cones are $3.25, and prices go up from there.

Parking: There is a parking lot next to the building, as well as street parking on the main side of the building.

Bathrooms: There are private men’s and women’s bathrooms. There are no changing tables.

Nursing: There is no designated nursing area.

Handicapped / Stroller Accessibility: There is a ramp from the rear parking lot into the building. I would not recommend trying to bring a stroller inside during busy times.

Other amenities: In addition to the regular seating, there is one child size table and two chairs. There is also a large yard with benches outside and picnic tables near the parking lot.

Menu: The Plush Horse offers over 50 flavors, with everything from Chocolate and Vanilla to Almond Amaretto and Hawaiian Delight. Not sure what you want? Request a sample at the ice cream counter.
The Plush Horse has ice cream, sherbet, frozen yogurt, sorbet, and gelato. You can also get cakes and pies, pastries, other sweets, coffee, and smoothies. The Plush Horse also caters.

We paid: $9.82 I got a single scoop cone, & I got baby cones for each of the boys. Cooper finished his, but Dexter didn’t come close; a pony cone would have been plenty. A baby cone would have been plenty for me, but I’m not gonna let ice cream go to waste so I made sure I finished mine.

Our experience:
The Plush Horse has been a favorite of ours since childhood (both John’s and mine); it just wouldn’t be summer without it. The variety of ice cream is almost overwhelming, but in a wonderful way. On summer nights the line is backed up all the way out of the building and you’ll wait a while, but it’s well worth it. If you’d rather not wait so long, try having some ice cream for lunch (or even breakfast!). Most recently, we visited on a Tuesday afternoon and there was no line and a couple tables available. Definitely a summer staple for our family.

  1. thanks for the great tip. We went today, and loved it. You're right, the serving size was huge! Great place to visit with the kiddos after the LIttle Red Schoolhouse.

  2. I miss going there!
