It’s Halloween Eve which means parents everywhere are putting finishing touches on costumes or maybe even trying to throw them together from scratch. It’s seems like the odds are about 50/50 that my kids are willing to wear the costume they begged for for weeks; often they change their mind at the last minute and I’m scrambling to find something they’ll be excited to wear. Thankfully, this year everyone’s satisfied with their costumes so I’ll be spending the evening and tomorrow watching some fun or maybe scary on Netflix Streaming while indulging in some treat-or-treat candy.
If you’re looking for the perfect Halloween choice for a family movie night after trick-or-treating (or while getting ready to go out), check out the Stream and Scream Guide Netflix created. It’s got some of my favorites on here – E.T., Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Corpse Bride!
If you’re looking for a last-minute costume for your little one (or even for yourself!) Netflix is a great source for inspiration. Below are three amazing costumes created by Stream Team bloggers. I’ve linked each one to the post about it, so just click on the photo to see step-by-step instructions for putting together a Pee-Wee Herman, Care Bears, or King Julien costume.
Bob the Builder, Jessica Jones, Willy Wonka, and Spy Kids characters would all be easy costumes to put together. You might even have everything you need at home, and if not, a quick run to the store to pick up a few odds and ends and you should be all set.
After the Halloween festivities are over you can check out some of the new additions to Netflix Streaming this October.
I’m looking forward to sharing new November additions with you soon too thanks to the Netflix #StreamTeam!
Have you or your kids worn costumes inspired by Netflix shows or characters? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
