Wittlebee

I recently heard about Wittlebee boxes and I was intrigued. Wittlebee’s offers monthly, customized boxes of clothing for kids. For $39.99 a month (shipping included!) you receive clothing with a retail value of about $100, and you don’t have to go shopping! Best of all, for every box ordered, Wittlebee’s donates a onesie to a child in need.

Answer some simple questions to start customizing your box, including your child’s name, age range, size, and whether they are a boy or girl. You’ll then have several choices to help personalize your box.

Boys:

  • Style (or two): Casual, Preppy, Hipster, Sporty, or Mix & Match
  • Graphic style (or two): Animals, Skulls & Rock & Roll, Plaids/Patterns, Cars & Trucks, or Stripes
  • Favorite colors (up to 3): Orange, Grey, Purple, Blue, Red, Black, Green, Yellow, or White
  • Styles you need most (up to 3): Short sleeve, Long sleeve, Onesies, Shorts, or Pants
  • Accessory items you need (up to 2): Socks, Underwear, Pajamas, Swimwear, or Hats (or choose none)
  • Things you do not want to receive (up to 2): Long sleeves, Onesies, Pants, Tank tops, Writing/slogans, or No preference
Girls:
  • Style (or two): Princess, Hipster, Diva, Geek Girl, or Mix & Match
  • Graphic style (or two): Hearts, Polka dots, Bugs, Flowers, or Animals
  • Favorite colors (up to 3): White, Black, Orange, Lavendar, Brown, Green, Blue, Red, Pink, Purple, or Yellow
  • Styles you need most (up to 3): Short sleeve, Shorts, Onesies, Dresses/skirts, or Leggings
  • Accessory items you need (up to 2): Socks, Underwear, Pajamas, Swimwear, or Hair Bands/clips (or choose none)
  • Things you do not want to receive (up to 2): Long sleeves, Pants, Onesies, Tank tops, Writing/slogans, or No preference
Last of all you’ll decide what environment you need the clothing for (Cold Weather, Chilly Nights, Around the House, California Dreamin, or Hot Summer Days), and whether you’d like a mom stylist to call you for more detail, or whether you’d like to make style notes online.
For my box, I responded that we wanted Hipster style with plaids/patterns, favorite colors are red, blue, and black, we needed shorts and were open to hats, and the environment I chose was “California Dreamin”.
And here is the box we received!
Cooper was thrilled to learn that it was a package for him and he was even more thrilled with the clothes. He insisted on modeling each of the outfits as we pulled them out of the box.
John and I were pretty impressed with the quality of the clothes; in fact, John was pretty jealous of the super-soft red American Apparel t-shirt. We also received clothes from Carter’s, Little Rebel, and Kenneth Cole. Cooper was particularly excited about the red clothes (his favorite color), and that the black shirt has an embroidered “C” on it.
I loved that we got to give some input, but it was nice to be surprised by what came. We were really happy with each of the items we received and they’re Cooper’s favorite clothes now.
Wittlebee is a great way to add to your child’s wardrobe (HELLO! No shopping for back-to-school clothes in huge crowds!), and it would make a great gift for a birthday or Christmas! You can have two accounts per household, so order a box for each kid.
Note: We received 8 items of clothing in our box. Wittlebee is changing their boxes, based on customer feedback, to include 6 items of even higher quality clothing. The retail value will still be about $100 per box! You can “like” Wittlebee on Facebook for the latest information, special promotions, and pictures of what other people have received in their Wittlebee Box.
