Boo! at the Zoo with Ferrara Candy Company

Boo! at the Zoo with Ferrara Candy Company [ad]

I hope everyone had an amazing Halloween because I know we did! This weekend we went to Brookfield Zoo for Boo! at the Zoo as guests of the Ferrara Candy Company. Captain America, the Crypt Keeper, and A.J. from Blaze and the Monster Machines arrived ready for action:

They didn’t seem to mind starting out the morning with some treats from Ferrara Candy Company. Trolli Sour Crawlers are a perfect breakfast, right?

While the kids chowed down we got to have a special animal encounter and get up close with a hawk! We learned some interesting facts, got to ask questions, and got a close up look thanks to some of the Brookfield Zoo animal handlers.

Ferrara Candy Company not only hosted our family, but they shared goodness with the community by sponsoring 400+ neighbors with complimentary admission and transportation to Boo! at the Zoo. They are also donating more than 10,000 lbs. of candy and providing more than 300 volunteers to make this Halloween super special and spooktacular for the community.

The zoo is particularly beautiful in the fall and we got to see some amazing sights in addition to all the animals.

Brookfield Zoo

During Boo! at the Zoo Brookfield Zoo also has special zoo chats, treats for the animals, crafts, a Halloween hayride, a corn maze, and lots of other fun activities. Our favorite activity is the Costume Parade; in the past we’ve marched in the parade, but this year we decided to find a spot along the route to get a good look at all the families in costumes.

There were even Ferrara Candy Company trick-or-treating tents with volunteers passing out candy to kids.

Boo! at the Zoo is over for this year, but check out the Brookfield Zoo website for upcoming events and be sure to plan to attend Boo! at the Zoo next October.
