Halloween is coming so it’s time for candy. I was offered samples of Funley’s Stix in the Mud and I was intrigued because they’re all natural and made from whole grains – not something you usually hear about candy.
Funley’s Stix in the Mud are:
- 100% natural
- Contain NO preservatives
- Contain NO trans fat
- Contain NO high fructose corn syrup
- Contain cookie bits made from whole grain wheat & corn flour
After reading about the whole grains and all natural ingredients I really expected that they might be bland or just not taste quite as good as other candy. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
Stix in the Mud come in three flavors: Peanut Butter, Caramel, and Original. They’re “individually wrapped for self-control”. I sort of laughed at that… always good to have some extra help in that area when it comes to candy, but it’s especially true with these. They’re really, really good!
The peanut butter flavor is really peanut-buttery, something I really like. They were John’s favorite and we both enjoyed them the most chilled in the refrigerator.
The caramel candies are very gooey, but really good. (I preferred them at room temperature so the caramel didn’t harden at all.) They were my favorite.
The original were a close second for me because they’re a bit crunchy. We keep these ones at room temperature too.
The kids tried them and loved them, but I’ll be honest – they didn’t get much. John and I each kept sneaking some when we had the chance and they really didn’t last long because they’re delicious.
Because they’re individually wrapped you can use these for trick-or-treaters, or just stock up on them as a treat for yourself.
Funley’s Stix in the Mud can be found at Walgreens stores in the Chicago area or you can purchase them online at the Funley’s Online Store.
