Association of Children’s Museums memberships

Considering a membership to one of the children’s museums? I strongly recommend it!

The Association of Children’s Museums has a reciprocal program that allows you to visit any of 165 children’s museums nationwide. Each museums has it’s own membership benefits, so it can be difficult to choose which one to join. Below I’ve listed each of ACM participant children’s museums in Illinois and the details of their ACM family memberships.

Please keep in mind that the ACM Reciprocal Program only requires that each museum admit 4 visitors, regardless of the benefits of the membership you have. This means that if you have a membership for your 6 family members and plan to visit another museum, you may have to pay admission for 2 people. Call ahead to find out each museums’ policy.

Several of the children’s museums also participate in the Association of Science-Technology Centers Travel Passport Program, which allows free or discounted admission to participating centers nationwide.
