The forecast for Halloween calls for a bit of rain. If the weather’s not cooperating for outdoor trick-or-treating, or you just prefer to be indoors, here are places you can trick-or-treat inside in Chicago and the suburbs. Events are free unless otherwise indicated.
Friday, October 30

- Harlem-Irving Plaza from 1 pm-3 pm
- Navy Pier from 4 pm-8 pm
- Bass Pro Shops in Bolingbrook, East Peoria, and Gurnee (activities and trick-or-treating) from 6 pm-8 pm
Saturday, October 31
- The Arboretum of South Barrington from 10 am-1 pm
- Chicago Ridge Mall from 11 am-1 pm
- Woodfield Mall from Noon-2 pm
- Lincolnwood Town Center from Noon-3 pm
- Stratford Mall from Noon-3 pm
- Golf Mill Shopping Center from Noon-4 pm
- Navy Pier from Noon-4 pm
- Louis Joliet Mall from 2-4 pm
- The 606 from 3-5 pm
- Ford City Mall from 3-6 pm
- Chicago Premium Outlets from 3 pm-7 pm
- North Riverside Park Mall from 4 pm-6 pm
- Charlestowne Mall from 4 pm-6 pm
- Halloween Boonanza at the Community Rec Center in Schaumburg (party & trick-or-treating) 5 pm-8 pm. ***Fee applies

These events don’t offer trick-or-treating, but do offer indoor Halloween fun:

- Halloween Fun Fair at Westmont Park District from 4:30 pm-7 pm & Halloween Dance from 7:30 pm-9:00 pm
- Darien Lions Club Halloween Party from 6:30-8:45 pm
- Brick-or-Treat at the Legoland Discovery Center from 10:00 am-7:00 pm (last admission at 5:00 pm) ***Admission fees apply
